An easy to cook Soda Bread loaf that is simple to prepare and delicious to eat

  1. Combine dry ingredients
  2. Add buttermilk (you can add milk and plain yogurt if you don't have sufficient - or indeed any - buttermilk) and mix together
  3. Form into a ball and score into almost four pieces. Place onto a baking tray.
  4. Dust lightly with white flour
  5. As soda bread does not need proving you can place directly into the oven and cook for 35 minutes at 200 degrees celsius
  6. Remove and cool. Loaf should be golden brown and sound hollow when tapped underneath.

Really great recipe but you may be hard pushed to serve 10 with it if you are all hungry!

This serves 10 normal people. Greedy little piggies may need to scale down accordingly.
